Digital Banner Requirements

     -- Must be a 1920x1080 pixel format

     -- Must include a reference to the conference theme

     -- Must include the school name

     -- Must incorporate the PACURH logo

 

Points: Based on a 10 point rubric

     -- 4 points for creativity

     -- 3 points for relevance to the conference theme

     -- 2 points for aesthetic value

     -- 1 point for relevance to one's school

Must be submitted to pacurh2018spirit@gmail.com by Nov. 1st at 11:59pm PST

Roll Call Requirements

     -- Must be submitted via a YouTube Link

     -- Must not exceed two minutes

     -- Must introduce all the delegates

     -- Must incorporate the PACURH theme                     as well as school spirit

    -- 2 points for relevance to the theme

    -- 2 points for audio/subtitle quality

Other Ways to Earn Spirit Points

Other than the digital banner and role call, there are many ways to earn spirit points for your delegation!

Please note that we will NOT be accepting any displays (as in previous conferences) in order to be in line with our conference's zero-waste initiative. For more information, see our website's "SUSTAINABILITY" tab.

 

Programs:

To encourage submission of programs, points will be awarded for submissions, chosen programs and winning programs.

Points:

     -- 2 points will be awarded for every program submission

     -- 5 points will be awarded to a school who has a program chosen to be at conference (any additional programs chosen from the same school will receive 1 bonus point each, with a maximum of 10 points being awarded for chosen programs)

     -- 10 points will be awarded to the top ten programs with bonus points available to the top three programs.

 

Social Media:

Instagram:

     -- Post using #pacurh2018 and include your school name in the caption (2 points per post, max 2 points per day)

     -- Each day of the conference, tasks will be given out via social media platforms 

     -- Points will be assessed upon completion of the tasks (maximum 10 points per day)

     -- Tag @uclapacurh2018 on all posts to get points!

     -- All accounts must be Public for points to be assessed.

Most Spirited Dress:

     -- The top 5 spirited dressers will each earn 5 points for their delegation with an additional five points being awarded to the "most spirited" of the five (see below for examples).

Scavenger Hunt:

     -- 5 Points will be awarded per delegation that completes the designated scavenger hunt. Check the Guidebook App for details.

Spirit Stick:

     -- At the end of each day, the “spirit stick” will be awarded to the school with the most spirit points from that day. At the end of the conference, the delegation with the most points will take the spirit stick home

Acts of Kindness, Optimism, and Beyond:

Any observed extra actions that go above and beyond spirit requirements will be awarded points per the judgement of the spirit chair and committee. Dress in your school gear and show off your school spirit! We’re looking for the loudest, rowdiest bunch of sailors representing their ship!

Formal Dress vs. Beach Fest

Dress up in your most formal garments or take a day of relaxation near the west coast! Bowties or towels, "floaties" or formal dresses- either way, we know you’ll be looking your finest.

Sunday, November 11th

Conference T-Shirt Day

We may come from different ships but we all float on the sea of leadership! Hopefully you’ve all grown closer in the course of the conference. Let’s celebrate docking together as one!

Note that conference shirts will be distributed at check-in on Friday, Nov. 9th.
